NHS Highland is developing a new organisational strategy that builds on the progress and learning from our current “Together We Care” strategy.

Our new strategy aims to build directly on Together We Care's foundations - putting people first, working in partnership, and with a commitment to quality and compassion.

What's developing is a sharper focus on prevention and our recognition that health is created in communities, not just in hospitals and clinics.

We know that to improve health and wellbeing for everyone, we need to think differently and work beyond traditional healthcare, looking at how we can make a difference to all the things that shape people's chances of living healthy, fulfilling lives.

What does this mean?

Ideally, we would like to hear as many viewpoints as possible and are seeking your help with this. We are using our online engagement hub to make sure our team, people and organisations in the NHS Highland board area have an opportunity to express their thoughts, feelings and experiences in relation to health and wellbeing.

We recognise that online engagement won’t work for everyone. If you, or others would prefer a hard copy of the survey; please email us at nhsh.strategy@nhs.scot.

How can you help?

By completing the public survey and supporting your clients or participants to do so too. Please let us know if you would like to receive hard copies of the survey by emailing nhsh.strategy@nhs.scot.

Our deadline for feedback is Friday 27th March 2026.
